We've Moved!

Clear-Vue Glass is excited to announce that we've moved to the Central Park district of Durham at our new location at 502 Rigsbee Avenue.  Our first day in our new home was June 5. 

Clear-Vue Glass has been a proud citizen of downtown Durham since our inception in 1963.  We’ve loved the opportunity to serve our clients and make plenty of friends from our Brightleaf Square surroundings.  As we come to the verge of our second half century, we see an opportunity to continue to grow our business from a new larger, innovative facility.

We believe the ClearSense building will become a showplace and a resource that will allow us to make more far-reaching contributions to the community.  We thrilled about our partnership with BuildSense. We share their passion for energy-efficient structures and look forward to a great partnership.

There’s so much to share about our new home that it’s hard to know where to begin!

From a practical standpoint, we have a much larger, brighter showroom.  Our clients have an unprecedented ability to see our many products in displays that truly showcase their brilliance and functionality.

With the help of a North Carolina Green Business Fund grant, we've created a building that is intended to be 50% more energy efficient than the average commercial building of the same size.  We will also be generating energy through turbines and solar panels to dramatically cut our need for outside energy consumption.  Our cistern will make it possible to use gray water for landscaping and the building’s plumbing.

Many long-time Durham residents may recall the location as the old home of “Tire King.”  However, the current structure will look remarkably different, complete with newly created second floor.

We have a lot of exciting plans in the works to put this property to its best use possible and will be sharing them over the coming weeks.
